Description
Sunscreens should be applied to clean, dry skin 20–30 min before being exposed to the sun, which allows the sunscreen to emulsify (via water evaporation), forming a uniform layer comprised of sunscreen agents and emollients. It is not necessary or desirable to vigorously rub sunscreen lotions into the skin for proper adherence; a light film should be left on the skin.
